Summer...Swimming and Town Days

Two of the things we look forward to in the summer are swim lessons and going to the Riverton Town Days celebration over the 4th of July weekend.
The kids have always done their swim lessons at the Riverton pool outdoors. This year it was extra nice because there were very few participants, making the class sizes small. Daniel and Jesse took the same level class and had their own private teacher. They learned how to float on their backs and tread water.
Kevin was also signed up, but he decided he wasn't ready to be a swimmer yet, and refused to go in the water. He will try it again next summer when he's 4.
On Friday July 1st we enjoyed the Riverton Parade. We sat in a great spot and had fun watching our youngsters collect candy and coupons. Thanks to Grandpa Wardle for making friends with the owner of the house, who gave us some room in front of his home to set up our chairs and reserve a spot.
Other highlights of the weekend included the haystack dive, BBQ at Grandma Wardle's, and going to the fireworks.
Gabriela made a flag cake. It was really good. We are having a fun summer, and hope you are too!
